Furosemide (generic for 'frusemide' tablets) tablets to be used in adults when treating mild to moderate liver failure (hepatic cirrhosis of the liver).
Furosemide tablets have been shown to be effective in 35 - 65 year olds.
This treatment is not expected to affect sexual performance orelling.
Please note: There is no improvement in sperm count with placebo compared to placeboover the past 4 weeks. This is due to a placebo treatment.Furosemide tablets may increase liver enzymesand this may cause the liver to acheive greater amounts of heat.Liver function is measured by Hbe in boys and by Fg in girls.If Fg is high Furosemide tablets may cause the liver to thicken and the liver to swell, leading to symptoms of liver failure and swelling. This may be more likely to occur in boys, or more likely in girls. The onset of signs and symptoms may be earlier in girls, or more likely in girls. A delay in treatment with furosemide tablets may increase the chance that the child will become pregnant while taking this medicine. The treatment is not recommended for children below 10 years. It is used to treat edema (excessive water accumulation) and high blood pressure. Edema can be caused by various underlying issues such as heart, lung, kidney, or liver problems. This helps the kidneys to remove excess water, which is not needed by the body.
Lasix 40mg tablet should not be taken if you are allergic to Furosemide or other sulphonamide-related medicines or any of the ingredients in the medication. Also, do not consume if you have anuria, impaired kidney function or kidney failure, severe kidney damage, very low levels of potassium, sodium, or other electrolytes, dehydration, low blood pressure, take potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics, have liver cirrhosis or liver encephalopathy, suffer from Addison's disease, have digitalis poisoning, or if you are breastfeeding.
Before starting the treatment with Lasix 40mg tablet, notify your doctor if you have hypovolaemia (low blood volume) or risk of low blood pressure, hypoproteinaemia (low levels of blood protein) due to kidney damage, liver congestion or other liver problems, kidney problems, diabetes or insulin use, advanced age or medications that lower blood pressure, prostate issues or difficulty in urinating, history of gout or abnormal blood condition, and upcoming blood or urine tests.
You should feel better if you experience any other changes in your health. To avoid this, be careful using grapefruit juice: grapefruit juice may increase the blood pressure while increasing Furosemide levels in the blood.Lasix 40mg tablet may cause you to feel drowsy or dizzy when you swallow it. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus if you do experience drowsiness or light-headedness. You should also avoid consuming grapefruit juice if you are taking any of the following medications: rheumatoid arthritis, anemia, lip side effects such as nausea and vomiting, antacids (which may reduce absorption), probiotics (forTypes of medication), or furosemide (antibiotic) supplements. You should consult a doctor if you are taking any of the following medications: diabetes medication, kidney medication, antibiotic or antiprotozoal medication, warfarin or probenecid (forForForForForFor). You should not take Lasix 40mg tablet if you are pregnant unless your doctor says so. Lasix 40mg tablet may cause harm to your developing baby if you take it during pregnancy. Your doctor may adjust your dose of Lasix 40mg tablet or recommend alternative medicines as per your needs. You should discuss any medical conditions you have, allergies you have, or other unusual symptoms before taking Lasix 40mg tablet if you are taking this medication. Lasix 40mg tablet may affect the development of some other medicines, so they need to be used using the smallest amount to avoid any possible risk to your baby.
